Dreams: An Autobiography for the future [Solitude, Experience, Friendship, Art & Love]

My entry for Wacom Bring Your Vision to Life : Dreams contest [link] contest is an autobiography of my dream future; each panel is small snapshot of a dream destination with underlying message of what I hope to achieve in my life.

Cuba – solitude
~ Set in a fictional room in Havana, Cuba
~ I hope to visit Cuba within the next two years so that I can study and learn from the Cubans about adapting and innovating through extreme situations.
~ I also want to visit Spain at some time just because I have no idea about the culture…just to feel alien.

New York – Experience
~ Set in New York’s High Line U.S.A
~ After Cuba I’d like to visit America and thought for reasons both professional and personal id like visit New York.
~ To experience some of the landscape architecture like Central Park and The High Line as well as experience a different climate
~ Also I’d like to catch up with my former mentor Dr Mario who made a massive impact on my LA experience in the Middle East.

Melbourne – friendship
~ Set in a Café ally in Melbourne, Australia
~ Ok I can’t miss out on home sweet home Australia, now I would be painting forever if I included the entire places I’d like to visit, there are at least half a dozen in Oz itself, but for symbolic reasons and current events in life, I thought id feature Melbourne.
~ Melbourne satisfies my artistic and cosmopolitan side as well as its personal significance with a friend who lives there.
~ Good news is this part of my dream is going to come true within the next two months. 21st birthday prezzie from my parents…maybe I’ll never come back.
~ As mentioned there are many other places id like to visit such as N/W Australia where I spent some of my childhood and has some of the best scenery.

Bath – Art
~ Kingsmead Square Bath, England
~ I briefly visited Bath last Christmas and fell in love.
~ I plan to retire here, perhaps bring my 90 year old mother too, and set up an art studio and paint my days away.

Home – love
~ Anywhere at anytime
~ Lastly, my ultimate desire in life is to find love and happiness with family and friends and that no matter where I am I will always have a place to call home and be comfortable.

Conclusion
~ Oil on 29.5cm x 10.5cm [11.75inch x 4.25inch] acrylic coated canvas
~ Approximate time for each was 12hrs. It was fun doing these as I started them just on the 2nd of December so I was a lil pressed for time. As a result I didn’t do as good a job as id like.
~ This is a single art piece but I had so much to say that I broke it up into a kind of story.
